Calif. Justice Doubts PG&E Can Be Liable For Blackouts
A California Supreme Court justice on聽Wednesday doubted a PG&E customer's argument that the utility could be liable for California Public Utilities Commission-ordered blackouts if聽they ultimately trace back to聽PG&E negligence, saying聽such聽"massive" liability "lurking in the background" could risk public safety by聽causing decision makers to hesitate on shut-offs.
